We miss you!  We sincerely hope that you and your loved ones have remained safe and healthy throughout this crisis. We’re excited to announce that eight Crunch locations in Ontario have been granted permission to reopen, and we will open on Friday, July 17 at 8am We’ve been busy, doing all we can to take care of our Crunch member community and preparing for our club reopening.  To make sure the gym is fresh, clean, and safe well beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve evolved our policies and procedures to exceed Public Health Agency of Canada, Provincial, and local recommendations.

Here are just a few things that we’ve completed while closed so that you can get back to your workouts.

  • Completed additional deep-cleaning and disinfecting of the entire gym, including all equipment and surfaces.
  • Performed preventative maintenance on our equipment to ensure your safety.
  • Increased the number of disinfecting stations throughout the club to make it easier for members to wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • Added additional alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout the gym.
  • Purchased new surface disinfectant technology and cleaning equipment.

Upon reopening, you may notice some changes in our daily operations.  These changes include, but are not limited to the following:

New Temporary Operating Hours
Mon – Fri 5am to 11pm Saturday & Sunday 7am to 7pm

  • The use of personal protective equipment by our team.
  • New signage posted throughout the gym highlighting our modified operating procedures with floor graphics directing traffic patterns to maintain social distancing on the gym floor.
  • Increased cleaning frequency rotations to wipe down/clean equipment and hard surfaces as needed, particularly in high traffic areas.
  • Stay posted on the start of Group Fitness and HIITZone classes on social media and via email.

During the initial phases of reopening, we may have to manage the total capacity of people in the gym. In the event of any capacity limitations, we will handle the process with the following steps:

  • There may be wait times to enter the facility, especially during peak periods.
  • To help manage occupancy, we’re asking members to limit gym time to one-hour and to consider coming to the gym during off-peak times.
  • Kid’s Crunch will remain temporary closed.
  • Certain machines and areas of the gym may be marked as temporarily suspended and when group fitness classes begin, class sizes may be reduced to allow for appropriate social distancing.
  • Locker rooms will be monitored every 30-60 minutes to empty garbage, refill Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)-approved soap and cleaning supplies, and wipe down sinks, counters, mirrors, and showers. Depending on location, lockers, showers, and stalls will be closed to facilitate social distancing.
  • Where locker rooms are closed, there will be cubbies available. We encourage all members to come ready to work out.

Following the order to close due to COVID-19, we suspended all billing and transactions on March 20. Upon reopening, your membership billing will resume.  If you have any questions regarding your membership, please come see a Crunch Team Member.

We can’t weight to see you again!
